TABLE GRAPES OF CANICATTI'
The table grapes Canicattì, IGP since 1997, is part of the great family of grapes "Italy" and was created by crossing two varieties (Bicane and Muscat of Hamburg).
It is grown in a number of towns in the area of Agrigento and Caltanissetta. The vineyards are planted with canopy system, are covered with plastic to prevent the grapes from getting wet in the rains.
Harvesting begins in late August and continues until September, while is collected in December in cooler areas as Canicattì and Delia.
The bunches of Canicattì grapes are durable, have large berries, thin skin, the scent is firm, the color is yellow, the flavor is fruity and aromatic, and has a sweet and delicate taste.
