DELIA NIVOLELLI DOC

The Delia Nivolelli D.O.C. is produced in the territory of the towns of Mazara del Vallo, where flow the Delia, Marsala, Salemi and Petrosino, in the area of Trapani. This area, fertile and flat, is located in a position predestinated to a privileged relationship with the countries of North Africa; became famous for trades at the time of the Phoenicians and for its conquest by the Arabs.

 

The Nivolelli Delia White is obtained from Grecanico, Inzolia and Grillo grapes, in a minimum percentage of 65%, and has a straw yellow color more or less intense, sometimes with greenish tinge; delicate smell, more or less fruity and characteristic; dry and harmonic flavor.

 

The Red is made from Nero d'Avola, Perricone, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Sangiovese, minimum percentage 65% and with the eventual addition of other red grape varieties permitted in the area; has red color more or less intense, bright garnet, with orange reflections if aged, vinous smell with a delicate aroma, dry, fruity, warm, harmonious, tannic, which softens with age.

 

For the production of Spumante Delia Nivolelli are used exclusively Grecanico varieties, Chardonnay, Inzolia, Damaschino, Grillo, alone or together; has fine froth, lively and persistent pale; straw color with green hues, delicate smell, more or less fruity; the taste is savory, fresh, fine and harmonious.
