ALCAMO D.O.C.

The Alcamo D.O.C. is known especially for the "Bianco d'Alcamo." Its area of production falls in some of the areas of Trapani and Palermo, and includes the territory of Alcamo, Calatafimi-Segesta, Castellammare del Golfo, Gibellina, Balestrate, Camporeale, Partinico, Monreale, San Cipirello and San Giuseppe Jato.

The Contea Sclafani D.O.C. is produced in the territory comprehending the eleven towns of the area of Palermo, including Sclafani Bagni, in the entire territory of the towns of Vallelunga Pratameno and Villalba, in the area of Caltanissetta, and partly of Cammarata, in the area of Agrigento.

The last D.O.C. arrived in the area of Trapani, in 2004, is the one of Erice. The area of production covers the territory on the slopes of Mount Erice, the warm and dry climate for most of the year, an altitude between 200 and 650 meters which guarantees excellent exposure and ventilation of sea breezes at the vineyards and the high temperature range that qualifies character and aromas to the wine.

The D.O.C. Monreale was founded in 2000, covers an area particularly suited to quality viticulture, which includes, in the area of Palermo, the towns of Monreale, Camporeale, Corleone, Roccamena, San Cipirello, San Giuseppe Jato, Santa Cristina Gela and Piana degli Albanesi, for a total of approximately 12,000 hectares.
