The Protected Designation of Origin, indicates an agricultural product or a foodstuff, whose quality and characteristics are due to the geographical environment, including natural and human factors; the production, processing and preparation have to take place in the defined geographical area. The entire production cycle must be carried out within the same area and therefore can not be reproduced outside of this. On this page all the PDO that you will discover in our itineraries.
PRESIDI SLOW FOOD
Slow Food is an association which has as its objective the promotion of the right to live the meal, and the whole world of food, primarily as a pleasure. The Slow Food Presidia is one of
the most important projects of the association, created with the aim to recover and preserve small-scale production of gastronomic excellence threatened by industrial, environmental degradation,
homologation.

TRADITIONAL FOOD PRODUCTS
During the routes of Experience of Sicily visitors will discover some traditional agri-food products. The PAT are agricultural products
selected by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry with the aim of enhancing those products obtained by methods of processing, storage and maturing consolidated over time and uniform
across the entire region, according to traditional rules, for a period not less than twenty-five years.
D.O.C. WINES
Sicily is characterized by many areas of production different in culture, characteristics of the soil and climatic conditions.
Experience of Sicily, with itineraries dedicated to Sicilian wines, will take visitors to discover the diversity of the territories and the people.
