Madonie Park is a regional nature park, which includes the peaks of the mountain range. The park extends its constraints beyond the mountains, reaching the sea, including an area of fifteen municipalities (Caltavuturo, Castelbuono, Castellana Sicula, Cefalù, Collesano, Geraci Siculo, Gratteri, Isnello, Petralia Sottana, Petralia Soprana, Polizzi Generosa, Pollina, San Mauro Castelverde, Scillato and Sclafani Bagni).

The park houses more than half of the Sicilian plant species, more than half of the species of birds, all species of mammals and more than half of invertebrate species in Sicily.

There are several ways to visit: walks on the principal equipped paths, horseback riding or mountain bike, visiting caves and craters and geological sites with fossils.
