Erice is located on the summit of Mount San Giuliano, 571 meters high and is 15 Km from Trapani. Its name is derived from the Sicilian-Italic Eryx, which means 'mountain'.

Inside the city walls, of which remained three gates of the Middle Ages (Porta Spada, Porta of the Carmine and Porta Trapani), you can admire the Cathedral, built in the fourteenth century, the Norman Castle, the Norman church of San Martino, the church of San Domenico, the museum and the whole village from the typical medieval structure.

The center keeps intact the charm of ancient fortified border, inspired by the workshops of traditional crafts: painted ceramics, carpets, colorful hand-woven.
