ARTISAN PASTA MAKING
The pasta has a very ancient and rich history that began 7000 years ago, when man, abandoned nomadic life, begin to till the land, discovering the grain and processing it better and better, refining the grind, mixing it with water and cooking it on hot stone.
Today pasta, well know all over the world thanks to the most renowned brands, is one of the dishes eaten daily by Italians. Thanks to Experience of Sicily, visitors will discover the traditional handmade pasta and its methods of production. Participants will be guided by professionals in the preparation of traditional Sicilian pasta as “busiate”, who take their name from the so-called “busa”, the knitting needle used by housewives to achieve them served with traditional sauces of the tradition, such as “Pesto alla trapanese” or “Norma”.
