SICILIAN COOKING CLASS
There are many dishes that have characterized Sicilian cuisine. The variety and the complexity of the dishes are closely linked to the Sicilian historical and cultural events and to the religious and spiritual life of the inhabitants. Ideal experience for food and wine enthusiasts, “expert gastronomes”, gourmet, tourists, visitors and all those who want to know and enjoy the treasures of local cuisine. Routes of taste in which participants will put their hands-on, testing themselves in the preparation of various dishes of the Sicilian tradition.
A professional chef will join to visitors in the preparation of several traditional dishes that will vary according to the availability of fruits and vegetables. All ingredients will be purchased the same day at farmers and historic markets in our area or collected directly from the fields of local farms.
Furthermore, meetings are planned to deepen the process of bread-making, mainly with Sicilian breads, and pasta-making, with typical pastas as “busiate”.
